- Click here to download the
FS2004 Type-Rating Instructions and all supporting files.
- You MUST use the following aircraft for your FS2004 Type-Rating Flights:
- FS2004 DC-3 with Training Panel, which you can download
here.
- This is what the new panel looks like.
- All gauges, controls, and radios needed for these flights are now on the
main panel. It's no longer necessary to fuss with pop-up panels, although I
did leave the Throttle Panel intact.
- Those who installed the FS2004 DC-3 with the training panel before 17 Sept
2003 do not have a functioning RMI digital readout because of some changes
by MS. That problem is now solved, thanks to Ike Slack. You may upgrade your
panel by clicking here. It is a very small, self-installing file. You may
also download the file from our downloads page, listed as Training Panel 2k4
upgrade.
- I chose the simpler path of keeping the Training DC-3 separate from the
default DC-3. The cost of that protection is a larger file to download ...
4.5 MB.
- Roy Chaffin just produced FS2004 versions of the FS2002 Training Panels.
However, because of changes in FS2004 coding, the Sperry Autopilot does not
function properly. You may not use Roy's FS2004 Training Panels for the Type
Rating flights until this notice has been removed. Removal of this notice
will indicate that the Sperry AP on Roy's panels is functioning properly.
NOTE: FSNavigator version 4.51 is not compatible with FS2004. You must
download and install version 4.6.
